ASX to fall, Wall St drops as megacap techs slide

Australian shares are poised to fall, in line with overseas losses. The megacap techs paced New York lower, with the Nasdaq Composite leading amid a sharp sell-off in Microsoft, Nvidia and Meta in particular.
Oil surged on more Israeli airstrikes and a report about a potential retaliatory attack from Iran keep traders on alert for supply disruptions from the Middle East.
