ASX to fall as Fed officials highlight ‘need for patience’
Australian shares are poised for a flat start as Federal Reserve Bank of Boston president Susan Collins and New York Fed president John Williams said it may take more time to gain the confidence to begin easing policy.
“Overall, the recent data have not materially changed my outlook, but they do highlight uncertainties related to timing, and the need for patience – recognising that disinflation may continue to be uneven,” Collins said in prepared remarks at an Economic Club of New York.
