ASX to drop; Amazon, Apple and Tesla pace Wall Street higher

Australian shares are poised to drop sharply at the open. Shares were higher in New York, paced by gains in Apple, Amazon and Tesla. Nvidia reversed late to end modestly higher.
ASX futures were down 81 points or 1% to 7693 near 6am AEST.
