Putin’s ‘jawboning’ of the West with uranium threat unleashes rally

Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to cut off Western access to its huge uranium reserves in retaliation for sanctions placed on Moscow following its invasion of Ukraine.

The remarks, which Mr Putin delivered in a televised meeting with government ministers on Wednesday (Thursday AEST), also suggested that Russia should consider limiting exports of titanium and nickel, rocking commodity markets on Thursday.
