Labor set to legislate on aviation this year
Transport Minister Catherine King says long-awaited changes to Sydney Airport will bolster competition in the aviation industry by giving new entrants better access to coveted landing slots.
Handing down its aviation white paper in Canberra on Monday, the Labor government again committed to reforming slot management arrangements “to improve efficiency in the allocation and use of take-off and landing slots at Sydney Airport, and reduce incentives for anticompetitive slot misuse”.
