Wong, Chalmers to fill PM’s hot seat as Albanese builds Pacific bonds

Australia will get two acting prime ministers this week, with Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Foreign Minister Penny Wong filling in while Anthony Albanese is out of the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, who would normally step up for Mr Albanese, has travelled to the United States for security talks, including an update on progress towards acquiring nuclear submarines under the AUKUS pact.
