High-income families will be the biggest beneficiaries from Labor’s childcare policies, with economists saying this will unleash significant productivity gains by removing disincentives to full-time labour force participation for working mothers.
Recent tweaks to Labor’s policy means there is not a single scenario under which families using childcare would be better off under the Coalition, financial analyst Brendan Ryan said.
