London | Ashleigh Barty will “live out a childhood dream” of playing a Wimbledon final on Saturday, after a tough but emphatic semi-final win against former champion Angelique Kerber.
The Australian was at the top of her game by the end of the second set, as she disposed of the dangerous German 6-3, 7-6. She described the 87-minute encounter as being “as close to as good a tennis match as I’ll ever play”.
