Morrison pivots climate strategy towards tech deals

Carbis Bay, Cornwall | Prime Minister Scott Morrison is looking to shift the global climate debate onto his terms by stepping past the multilateral framework and sealing a string of bilateral deals that focus on technological solutions to cut emissions.
On his trip to the G7 leaders’ summit, he is signing up Singapore, Japan, Germany and Britain to tech-specific deals on climate-related issues – and he compared this process to finding a medical solution to the coronavirus.
