Scott Morrison has warned that jobs in regional Australia will be left stranded unless the country embraces low emissions technology, and has pledged more than half a billion dollars in additional funds towards developing hydrogen and carbon capture and storage technologies.
Mr Morrison, who will participate later this week in the virtual climate summit being hosted by US President Joe Biden, has pledged another $276 million to create four new hydrogen hubs across the country and another $263 million for the development of carbon capture and storage projects.
