Huge loss for Flight Centre, but silver lining emerging

Travel agency Flight Centre is to post its first loss since listing on the sharemarket in 1995, but is seeing some reasons to be optimistic.

The Brisbane-based outfit, whose brands include StudentUniverse and FCM Travel Solutions, on Thursday warned that pre-tax losses could reach as high as $875 million for the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
