Dow leaps 912 points on vaccine bets

Australian shares are poised to surge 2% at the open, buoyed by global bets on progress toward a vaccine against the COVID-19 virus. In late trade in New York, the Dow was up more than 900 points.
Drug maker Moderna said its experimental COVID-19 vaccine showed promising results in a small early-stage trial.
