CEFC $300m fund to act as catalyst for hydrogen

A new $300 million fund to provide concessional finance to emerging hydrogen projects is attracting keen early interest across various sectors, including transport and heavy industry, according to Clean Energy Finance Corporation chief executive Ian Learmonth.

Mr Learmonth said finance would be available for both export-oriented hydrogen projects as well as ventures focused more on the domestic market, including projects to use hydrogen in heavy transport, and in sectors of industry that are difficult to electrify.
