In January 2007 Brad Hickey was sitting in the airport in Los Angeles ready to board a plane to Australia when he started wondering what the hell he was doing.

“There I was, heading to the other side of the world to work vintage at a winery, and I suddenly felt scared,” he says. “I was in my late 30s and this was the 12th time in my life I’d made a major move. I thought: I should have it figured out by now.”
