Westpac executives are braced for a grilling when they give evidence at the surprise fourth day of hearings of the inquiry into audit quality on Friday.
This will be a rare public appearance for the top brass of the bank – chief risk officer David Stephen and acting chief financial officer Gary Thursby are giving evidence – which has been engulfed by the recent money-laundering scandal.
