A humungous bushfire northwest of Sydney has destroyed dozens of properties, including the suspected razing of the home of a firefighting captain, officials said on Monday.
The Gospers Mountain fire, nearly 400,000 hectares in size, was at "watch-and-act" level early on Monday after firefighters worked overnight to contain it near Mt Wilson, Mt Tomah and Berambing.
