Trade deal remains wide open to India

Bangkok | Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the door will remain wide open for India to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) if or when it was ready, as Australia and the 14 other member nations moved ahead without India and agreed to work towards finalising the trade pact next year.

Mr Morrison said a deal would be bigger and better with India in it as it would cover 32 per cent of global GDP and have important strategic benefits.
