Gulf tensions high as oil tankers set ablaze off Iran

Washington | Tensions across the Middle East as the US ratchets up it’s economic sanctions campaign against Iran are threatening to spiral out of control after another two oil tankers were attacked and crippled just outside the Persian Gulf.
With the US blaming Iran for the shipping assaults and Tehran suggesting others in the region such as Saudi Arabia have more to gain from such terrorism, investors are being urged to brace for any sudden escalation in hostilities.
