Boris Johnson storms ahead in PM race

London | Boris Johnson has stormed into a commanding position in the race to follow Theresa May as British prime minister, increasing the chances that Britain could lurch out of the European Union on October 31, ready or not.
In a first round of voting among MPs , he won more than double the votes of any other contender. Three rivals - hard Brexiteers Esther McVey and Andrea Leadsom, plus relative moderate Mark Harper - were eliminated.
