When Corey Hart tried to defend his inappropriate use of eyewear in the classic 1984 song Sunglasses At Night, he never really gave us a convincing reason for why he was being such a douche.
One moment he's telling us he's wearing sunglasses in the dark "So I can, So I can, keep track of the visions in my eyes". Whatever that means. A few verses later, and he's declaring he's wearing them "So I can, So I can, forget my name while you collect your claim".
