The retail union's unprecedented refusal to sign off on Noni B's new enterprise agreement could lead to the deal's collapse, despite a majority of employees supporting it.

The Shop Distributive and Allied Employees Association, which negotiated the agreement with the fashion retailer but opposed the final deal, flagged the absence of an employee bargaining representative's signature as a major jurisdictional obstacle to the agreement's approval at a Fair Work Commission hearing this week.
