Transport Workers Union targets airports in supply chain push

The Transport Workers Union will pressure airports to impose minimum standards for pay and conditions at baggage handlers and airline suppliers, threatening "disruption" to achieve its aims.
The union announced on Thursday that it is planning to serve claims on the airports that would hold them responsible for the labour standards of contractors at the airport, comparing the push to its road freight transport campaign to ensure retailers maintain standards for truck drivers.
