Keeping up with the model line-up of Porsche 911 can be a tough task. Depending on how you count them, the GTS variants have brought the total number available here to 23. In Europe, the German company has announced at least one more variant since the GTS went on sale.

So what is the GTS? In the 911 hierarchy, it sits between the Carrera S and GT3. Available as a coupe, cabriolet or targa, to many it's the perfect "in-betweener". It's faster than Carrera S but does without the harsh ride and other compromises of the track-focused GT3. It also does without the GT3's overt rear wing. In other words, it's quietly classy.
