Celebs are flocking to Heron Island for this invitation-only event
The Heron Island Fellowship has become a hot ticket for scientists, Indigenous leaders and creative types serious about climate change.
It’s 3pm on Heron Island, a small coral cay at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef with marble-white sand, and I’m sitting next to actor Claudia Karvan and model and actor Gemma Ward, sharing stories about how climate change has affected our lives.
It’s not my usual Friday afternoon by any stretch. Then again, the Heron Island Fellowship isn’t your usual gathering.
