The Michelin-star chef machine is rolling back into town

Restaurant residencies are on the rise in Australia. It’s good for venues during low season, and for diners who can’t get a booking overseas.

After the sell-out success of French restaurant Mirazur’s residency at The Gantry at Pier One in March, Sydney is already gearing up for a second three-Michelin star performance.

Acclaimed British chef Simon Rogan is transporting his Cumbrian fine-diner L’Enclume to the Bathers’ Pavilion at Balmoral Beach for a five-week residency from July 19 until August 20. It’s the first time the chef has done anything like this anywhere in the world.
