When Australian opera export Dame Nellie Melba adorned herself in Cartier necklaces in the early 1900s, an enduring Antipodean delight in the famed French jewellery house was born.
“Cartier designed some amazing necklaces for her 120 years ago, and she was an international celebrity showcasing the savoir-faire of Cartier,” says Alban du Mesnil, managing director of Cartier Oceania.
