Is Perth Australia’s hottest luxury destination? Chanel says oui
With a new boutique opening in Raine Square, the French brand is targeting a clientele that is hungry for “world-class” elite retail therapy.
It probably weathered the pandemic better than any other Australian capital and has a seemingly unending appetite for the finer things in life. Now, Perth is cementing its reputation as Australia’s latest luxury destination with a new Chanel boutique. It will, for the first time, combine the maison’s fragrance, beauty and fashion offerings under one roof at Raine Square.
The boutique is the latest in a series of prestige openings for Perth. It comes after last year’s $800 million overhaul of Karrinyup shopping centre by AMP and the pre-pandemic launch of the Ritz-Carlton. The boutique represents, says Chanel president of fashion Bruno Pavlovsky, an investment for the brand’s loyal client base in the city.
