Heaven scent or mouldy stinker? Exclusive aromas are getting ‘out there’
Le Labo’s new coriander fragrance has been engineered to remind you of Mexico City’s central park. You’ll love it or hate it.
There’s up to a 21 per cent chance you won’t like the new fragrance from cult perfumers Le Labo. You’ll hate it, in fact. Not because it’s bad; you’re just genetically built that way.
Coriandre 39 is the latest addition to Le Labo’s City Exclusives collection, fragrances concocted to capture the aromatic essence of urban centres around the world. Mexico City is apparently evoked by plonking the most divisive of herbs centre stage. According to the marketing spiel for Coriandre 39, it is designed to bring to mind “forest bathing” in the city’s sprawling central park of El Bosque de Chapultepec on the one hand, and enjoying mezcal at a cafe in the hip neighbourhood of La Condesa on the other.
