Cult label Aje cuts 20 staff after massive stock clearance

The Australian label, touted as the next Zimmermann, has let go of senior staff, but its co-founder says the move is simply a restructure.

Cult Australian fashion label Aje has made 20 of its 400 staff redundant, including the leaders of its wellness and activewear sub-brands and other senior managers.

Chief executive Beth Glancey has been renamed chief operating officer for Aje, known for its hyper-feminine, colourful dresses, and Aje Athletica, the sporty offshoot launched in 2020.
