Singapore Design Week was in full swing in September, showcasing ideas and innovations from the small island nation as well as from neighbouring regional countries. The word “design” can mean the systems we arrange – such as transport flows, financial accounting for carbon emissions or the way we walk through lobby of a building – to household objects such as vacuum cleaners, to eye candy that is fun and quirky.
