For something called Mini, it’s far too big. Indeed, it’s the largest vehicle ever to appear under the (increasingly contradictory) brand name.
The new Countryman is nearly 4.5 metres long. The original Mini – and, for a few slightly sad purists, the only real Mini – was a smidgen over 3 metres bumper-to-bumper, as well as being 42 centimetres narrower than today’s mini-behemoth.
