Why Mark Ronson doesn't like to talk about himself in public
Mark Ronson has won multiple awards for pop hits like Uptown Funk. Yet he prefers to talk about his new album in his house, lest people overhear him bragging.
Little Dom’s is a dimly lit Italian bistro with white marble table tops, stained glass windows, wooden chairs, and wooden booths cushioned by worn, deep green leather. When you step inside the brick building on the corner of Hillhurst Avenue and Avocado Street in Los Feliz, it feels like you’ve entered a century-old New York restaurant. You forget that you’re in the heart of a tree-lined, hillside Los Angeles neighbourhood synonymous with moneyed hipsters and entertainers dining on overpriced organic fare.
Mark Ronson moved a few minutes away from Little Dom’s three years ago. Frustrated by continually flying in from New York to record and planning to start a family with his now ex-wife, the Grammy, Academy Award, and Golden Globe-winning DJ, producer, and songwriter bought a two-story house in Los Feliz on the hill leading to the Greek Theatre.
