It’s 11am on a rainy Friday morning and I’m snaking past hordes of snotty children and American tourists queuing for the London Eye, ready to take on what one disgruntled TripAdvisor user calls the “most grossly overpriced day out for parents desperate for something to do in half-term” in the British capital.
Before you rush to the comment section, no, it’s not the Sea Life centre, but Shrek’s Adventure, a sprawling shrine to the curmudgeonly green ogre housed in the Grade II listed County Hall.
