Next year marks the 400th birthday of William Shakespeare’s First Folio, the posthumous collection that cemented the playwright’s importance to Western Culture, and Bell Shakespeare is celebrating.

Australia’s only major performing arts company devoted to the Bard will for its 2023 season revisit three of the Folio’s “greatest hits”, according to artistic director Peter Evans.
