The biggest opera star in the world, and a long-awaited production of The Ring Cycle will be among the highlights of Opera Australia’s 2023 season announced on Tuesday.

The last of artistic director Lyndon Terracini’s 13 seasons at Australia’s largest performing arts company will see the return of superstar tenor Jonas Kaufmann, who will give two performances of Ponchielli’s La Gioconda at the Sydney Opera House concert hall.
