The Necks, Australia's most successful experimental music export, will return home for eight shows between January and March but that is about as far as the trio's planning will go.

Each night that Chris Abrahams on piano, Tony Buck on drums and Lloyd Swanton on double bass take the stage, they will have had no rehearsal, no discussion of what they will play, and no idea of who will start playing first.
