Discovery of Captain Cook’s Endeavour ‘premature’

Captain James Cook’s ship, the HMS Endeavour, has been located in Newport Harbour, Rhode Island, but the US-based lead investigator in the search for the vessel says reports of its discovery are “premature”.
Captain Cook sailed the ship around the South Pacific in a pioneering voyage before landing at Botany Bay on Australia’s east coast in 1770.
