Over the years I’ve never found it a hardship to watch a film starring Scarlett Johansson but even she couldn’t elevate the shortcomings of Black Widow.

Every time I sit through a superhero flick I find myself asking: “Is it me, or is it the rest of the planet that’s got it all wrong?” The stories are ridiculous, the scripts lamentable. The only realistic summary is: “Famous actors humiliate themselves for large pay cheques.”
