Some critics are saying that it’s just not good enough to open a new building and change virtually nothing in it for an entire year.
On a chilly Melbourne day last month, the National Gallery of Victoria opened its bold exhibition of paintings by the French intimist painter, Pierre Bonnard.
Christophe Leribault, president of the Musee d’Orsay which partnered the NGV in the exhibition – Pierre Bonnard: Designed by India Mahdavi – had flown in from Paris.
