Left-leaning think tank, the Centre for Policy Development, has urged Labor, the Greens and the Australian Education Union to seize a once in a generation opportunity to back the Turnbull government's Gonski 2.0 legislation so that past mistakes in school funding are undone.
Launching its latest report on schools, the centre said that even though the government's bill was not perfect, the Senate should pass it with amendments.
