When the first Young Rich List was published by BRW in September 2003, John Howard was immovable from The Lodge, Pauline Hanson was in jail and the launch of Facebook was five months in the future.
But one thing hasn’t changed: Australia was, and still is, a great place to make money. The economy grew 3.6 per cent in 2003-04, about the same clip that the Reserve Bank expects the economy will grow in 2018-19 as it enters its 28th year free of recession.
