Used car prices up 7.5pc in June quarter, but relief in sight
Prices paid by buyers in the second-hand car market accelerated by 7.5 per cent in the June quarter, with ute prices even higher at 8.5 per cent, but experts from Moody’s Analytics predict prices will decline in the next few months.
Tradies looking to expand their fleet, or change vehicles at a time when there is heavy demand in a construction sector battling severe labour shortages, are behind the larger increase in used prices for utes.
