Utes still rule the roost – and it’s not just tradies

New vehicle sales in Australia dropped by 4.8 per cent in January compared with a year earlier, as extended delays in vehicle deliveries resulting from global semiconductor shortages and broader supply chain disruptions curtailed orders.

But the appetite for utes showed no sign of abating, with three of the four biggest-selling vehicles in Australia in that segment.
