Rex is on a different flight path to other airline stocks

Soaring interest rates have failed to dampen demand for air travel, but as Regional Express’ performance shows, that exuberance isn’t being felt evenly across the travel and aviation sector.

Last week, Qantas reaffirmed its expectations for record profits of up to $2.475 billion this financial year, with four million travellers during the winter school holidays and plenty of new international activity such as the recommencement of flights from Sydney to New York via Auckland.
