Qantas says the slowdown in consumer spending will not hurt its earnings, as people’s appetite for travel remains unaffected by rising household bills and higher interest rates.
The airline said its domestic capacity was at pre-pandemic levels, and it had added 11 international routes since mid-May to meet demand. It expects to carry more than 4 million passengers over the school holiday period.
