In November 2021, Scott’s Refrigerated Logistics made a fatal mistake.

It implemented a major transport management IT system upgrade as the company got ready for its busiest period of the year, Christmas. Within weeks, thousands of pallets had backed up and were pushed into the aisles of cold warehouse storage facilities, where forklifts could barely move.
