Autobarn owner Bapcor eyes accelerated returns

The new chief executive of auto parts retailer Bapcor says he inherited a good business but wants to lift investment returns and leverage the size and scale of the operations.

“The best time to fix a hole in your roof is when the sun is shining,” Noel Meehan said on Wednesday. The business runs 1100 stores selling automotive parts and accessories to mechanics and DIY enthusiasts under the Autobarn, Burson and Autopro brands.
