ASIC queried Qantas’ knowledge of ACCC investigation as shares fell
The market regulator, prompted by the fall in the airline’s shares, wrote to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to determine the timeline behind its investigation of Qantas – and whether directors or executives had knowledge of it.
A member of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s markets enforcement team wrote to her counterpart at the competition regulator in September “to get a better understanding” of the scope of its soundings.
