The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has delayed its timetable for a decision on a proposed merger between two loss-making listed campervan rentals companies which have found the going extremely tough in the pandemic.

Australian-based company Apollo Tourism announced in early December a proposal to merge with New Zealand-based rival Tourism Holdings to form a larger player with a combined fleet of 7000-plus vehicles as they both try to reposition after a big downturn as international tourism stopped.
