Time for JobKeeper has passed, but tourism needs more help
Experience Co chief executive John O’Sullivan wanted the Morrison government to lock in Tourism Australia’s annual budget at $250 million to help lure international tourists back into the country.
While Mr O’Sullivan welcomed the extra $60 million announced before the budget – which included an extra $45 million to Tourism Australia for in-country marketing – he said more money was needed, rather than the ad hoc top-ups during the pandemic.
